About Me

The heart of my work (TL;DR)

  • I support sensitive and neurodivergent singers, speakers, and creatives like me

  • My approach blends voice technique, nervous system care, and intuitive listening

  • This space is about expression without forcing or masking

  • Your voice doesn’t need fixing - it needs safety and guidance

My Story

My name is Carisa Holmes, and I’m a neurodivergent singer, speaker, vocal coach, and healing arts practitioner. I support sensitive, creative humans in finding more safety, confidence, and freedom in their expression, whether on a stage or in life.

My work is for singers, speakers, teachers, podcasters, and artists who feel deeply, think differently, and often carry more than they show - especially those navigating stage fright, fear of public speaking, or expressive blocks that don’t respond to typical “just push through it” advice.

A Lifelong Relationship with Voice

I’ve been in relationship with my voice for as long as I can remember. As a small child, I sang from the fireplace mantle in my home with a candlestick mic - freely and instinctively - before I understood performance or felt the weight of judgement or fear.

That relationship led me through years of formal music training, including the Colonel White High School for the Arts, and then studies at Wright State University as the recipient of the Leon Bates Scholarship for voice. I then moved on to writing and recording contemporary pop and R&B with major label artists and various producers. Along the way, I learned a great deal about vocal craft - and also about the inner experiences that shape how safe (or unsafe) it feels to be seen and heard.

Like many sensitive and neurodivergent performers, I also lived with intense stage fright. Wanting to share my voice while feeling overwhelmed by performance anxiety became a defining tension in my life - and ultimately, one of my greatest teachers.

Why My Work is Holistic

Life has a way of deepening us. Experiences of intense grief, healing, and learning to listen to my own nervous system expanded not only my emotional range as an artist, but also my capacity so sit with others in vulnerable places.

Over time, I trained in numerous modalities of the healing arts, and became a Certified Accredited EFT Tapping practitioner. I began weaving together voice technique, somatic tools, nervous system regulation, and intuitive listening - no longer as separate practices, but as parts of one conversation.

This integrated approach is the heart of my work today.

How I Support Singers and Speakers

I support singers and speakers in:

  • Easing stage fright and fear of public speaking

  • Building vocal strength, stamina, and skill

  • Developing confidence without masking or forcing

  • Experiencing better overall wellness

I don’t believe the voice needs to be fixed. It needs to feel safe, supported and understood - especially for those with sensitive nervous systems or a history of being misunderstood.

When the body feels safer, the voice is supported and free to open.

Songwriting as a Healing Arts Practice

Songwriting has been a constant thread woven throughout my life as an artist and healer. In addition to coaching and writing my own music, I create custom songs for individuals and special occasions - listening deeply for what wants to be expressed, and then shaping that into sound and lyric.

This work draws on the same skills that inform my coaching - presence, emotional attunement, and reverence for the unseen layers of meaning that live beneath words.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I have the soul of an artist, the heart of a healer, and ears that hear beyond words.

When we work together, you’ll be met with patience, curiosity, compassion, and care for your unique way of being.

Many clients and students share that they feel deeply heard and understood - perhaps for the first time - and that their voice begins to feel less like something to manage, and more like a trusted ally and friend.
